About
Where?
I’m from West London, England. I now live in East London.
Why do I make art?
I’ve been making some kind of art since I was 7 years old. Initially I copied pictures from comics and natural history books. At the age of 14 my uncle started taking me to life classes at my local secondary school, which led me exhibit photo-realistic pencil drawings at small art fares.
I like the creative freedom of visual art, you are restricted only by the limits of your imagination and the materials you use.
It takes a period of time to make a drawing, installation or piece of sculpture; so my attitude towards a piece of work changes greatly while creating it and, once it’s finished, is influenced by the people who interact with it.
Where did I study art?
Foundation in art & design: Chelsea college of art & design.
Degree in Fine art: Surrey Institute of art & design (now UCA Farnham).
When is my next exhibition?

What philosophies or world view influences my work?
I like to think of my studio as a lab’, where I can experiment with ideas, materials and the skills associated with making things.
My world-view is best described as naturalistic. I have no beliefs in the supernatural, which I consider to be ‘magic’ and a distraction from the truly amazing things that surround us each day.
The more I learn the more I realise that the most amazing thing of all is that everything has come about without magic and without us in mind.
My Newtonian outlook has encouraged me to try and induce a kind of life into otherwise inanimate objects. By using arrows to represent motion and by mounting drawings on card I’ve mimicked some of the properties of living objects with a view to revealing something about ourselves.
