Iron
As far as humble objects go this is one of the most low-profile that I have drawn, the humble electric iron.
I think it is important to champion simple objects like these, they are essential in our everyday lives and say more about us than luxury consumer items. I hope we can see a little of ourselves in these types of drawings trather than our imagined aspirations.
One of the enjoyable aspects of drawing the iron is the contrasting shapes created by the electrical flex and its rigid plastic and metal body.
