Installations
I've increasingly found myself working with objects, in fact, when I really consider it, perhaps I have been working exclusively with objects from the beginning.
An animated installation of three sets of three groups of diagram-style drawings of tools performing their function in three dimensions.

Numbered 0 to 9 number banners are practical and iconinc objects, tools, used to represent people, objects, or different elements of situations. What they represent is up to the viewer. |
When the banners cannot be present its worth having a stand-in. These diagrams represent the banners from all angles, serving a practical purpose - just like the tools they represent. |

Its good to get things moving. These other wise inanimate objects have been placed next to painted cardboard arrows where they are potentially animated into life. |
Sheets of cardboard were glued together to form arrows that act as tools which can add an extra dimension to objects that are otherwise inanimate.Cardboard arrows are painted in different colours which add another value to the arrows. |
An anstallation set-up in south London at the end of 2005.Drawings were made of many items in my London flat, then pinned onto cardbaord sheet on stands and placed in teh positions they were drawn. |
