I drew three different colour roses
with oil pastel and then painted them using diluted poster paint. Once they were painted I cut them out of the paper and glued them to some cardboard, I then cut out the roses.
The thickness of the cardboard made the roses standout and and gave an effect of three-dimensions.
This is a continuation of a trend in my work where I have looked to reintroduce solidity back into the object, I still enjoy the idea of bringing objects to life, almost like a god...
These coloured roses represent the beginning of colour being introduced into my drawing.
