I’m experimenting with more three-dimensional drawings of objects.
Here drawings of a sack barrow show the movement of the object over time. The drawings stand in free space, mounted on cardboard.
I’ll continue drawing this object in a way that describes its function and movement.

Yellow skeleton left turn drawings

Yellow skeleton left turn. Drawings: Oil pastel on paper and cardboard with red cardboard arrow.

I’ve moved the drawings away from the wall and out into free space. This is the most 3-dimensional of my drawings so far.

I plan to do a lot more of this; combining ideas I’ve had in the past, like cardboard arrows, with my object drawings.

Here the skeleton is turned to it’s left, the action is illustrated by the red cardboard arrow.

Rose bush drawings

I’ve been working on studies of a rose bush, which I found dumped outside a neighbour’s house. Perhaps it would be expected that only the part of a rose bush that protrudes above the ground would be drawn; instead I chose to draw the rose bush as an object, roots and all.
Perhaps I’ll colour the drawings in an effort to develop them further.
