Coloured AK47 Kalashnikovs drawings

Coloured Kalashnikov AK47 drawings

These coloured Kalashnikov drawings were created for an exhibition at the Rosetta Window gallery, in London.
Each is a life-size study of a deactivated AK47 rifle, drawn life-size with oil pastel on coloured paper. Previous studies had been in black and white, drawing on coloured paper added another layer of information and abstraction.

Black and White Kalashnikov drawings

Kalashnikov AK47 drawings (black & white)

These are multiple drawings of an AK47 assault rifle, drawn using oil pastel on paper on cardboard.
The rifle was a tough object to warm to, likely due to it’s purpose, so I often felt separate from it while I was drawing.
Black and white AK47 KAlashnikov rifles were displayed at LAPIEZA, Ground Floor Left Gallery and Rosetta Window gallery.
